CodeX was developed as an emergency announcement and reporting solution designed to integrate with FreePBX® and 14IP’s communication platforms.
The solution helps schools and businesses improve emergency preparedness by enabling organizations to:
- Automate emergency notifications and prerecorded announcements
- Monitor classroom and facility status in real time
- Mark locations as safe or unsafe during an emergency
- Provide first responders with critical situational information when needed

Built to Solve a Real Customer Challenge
CodeX was created in response to the needs of a large California school district that wanted an affordable emergency communication platform integrated directly with its phone system.
14IP was approached by a large California school district for an integrated emergency platform integrated into its phone system. They asked for an affordable solution for automating pre-recorded emergency announcements and status reporting.
I knew our team at 14IP could come up with a solution that would satisfy the district’s needs while staying within their budget, and so CodeX was created. I’m very proud that my team could deliver such a necessary tool to help ensure the safety of our kids while keeping it affordable so that everyone has access to it.
