The 14IP Failover Gateway, as a POTS Replacement solution, plugs easily into your LAN and can provide dial tone from 14IP to the analog equipment. To do this, it utilizes its six built-in FXS ports and your location’s primary Internet.
Whenever there’s an Internet disruption, even during power outages, the gateway’s innovative design allows a built-in 4G multi-carrier wireless link to take over until your primary connection is restored. This is essential for ensuring 911 call completion.
An optional battery-backup power supply provides enough power to allow vital calls to be placed for up to 10 hours, perfect for applications with elevator or doorway phones.
