14IP Phones use a standard RJ9 for the headset jack for wired headset phones.

The pin outs for this headset hack are setup as the common layout below.

• Pin 1 – M-

• Pin 2 – R/S-

• Pin 3 – R/S+

• Pin 4 – M+

• 

For example if using a Plantronics Headset you would need the U10 adapter to provide the pinout above.
